Christmas workshops

We have been holding Christmas Craft Workshops at Primrose Cottage for 8 years. Your tutor Trish, the owner of Primrose Cottage is a self taught and very experienced artisan specializing in her love of everything Christmas.

Workshops will be held this year from Trish’s home studio in Milford on Auckland's North Shore.

Workshops are held during the morning 10.30 – 1.00pm. Saturdays 10.30 – 1.00pm and some evenings 7.30pm – 9.30pm.

Class numbers are limited to 8 to allow for individual help if needed. All projects are completed in the allocated time and no homework is required. All materials are included in the cost of the workshop with no hidden costs. There will be facility to purchase additional products after the class if you wish to make more of the same.

Full payment is required before your place in class is confirmed. Payment can be made in person at Primrose Cottage by cash, cheque or credit card. Credit card payments can be taken over the phone by calling the store 09 -480-1634.

CHRISTMAS CRACKER WORKSHOP

Christmas crackers have always played an important role in Christmas Day festivities – December 25 just would not be the same without them. Why not take this delight one step further and create your own personalized crackers for every member of the family. Wow family and friends with the most stunning Crackers they have ever received. Some recipients have even refused to open their crackers because they are too beautiful to destroy!!!! I kid you not!

In this 2.5 hour workshop you will make one deluxe Christmas Cracker complete with gift, hat, snap, sprinkles, joke and clear acetate box. You will also learn tips and tricks to create the most stunning bows using a huge range of ribbon and componentry that make the process so easy. Learn about paper quality, ribbon types, componentry tips and tricks and all the gift ideas to turn your crackers into unique gifts. You will tie beautiful bows from a huge range of gorgeous ribbons imported from all corners of the world. I guarantee you will leave this class inspired to go on and make more crackers for friends, family and work colleagues. Perfect for Secret Santas, Teachers gifts; Corporate Presentation; Customer gifts and much more. Christmas Wreath

Create your own beautiful wreath in either 50cm size or smaller 36cm complete with gorgeous bow and accessories to make visitors to your home go WOW. Not just for the front door, these wreaths can be hung above a fireplace, placed on any door in the house or hung on one of our fabulous wreath hangers and moved around the home to be admired wherever you are.

Working in the classic colour palette of reds, greens, gold, cream or silver your wreath will be completed in class ready to hang as soon as you get home. The range of componentry will allow you to experiment with different arrangements before deciding on the final look.

PAPERWEIGHT WORKSHOP

This great workshop really puts the ‘u’ in unique gift giving. Really personalized your gifts with these photo paperweights. Simply bring along a range of photos that we can play with to get just the right one. Photos have to be cut into a circle to fit the paperweight so no family heirlooms if you wish to keep the originals.

If you prefer not to pursue the photo option we can source images at the workshop or create your own using our wide range of stamps, stickers and scrapbooking papers. A fabulous gift that is unique, cost effective and quick.

2 sizes of weights are available. Additional blanks will be available for purchase to make more after the workshop.
